1. Agreement to Terms
Welcome to Quiet Digital Life ("we," "us," "our," or "the Site"), accessible at quietdigitallife.com. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, content, newsletters, downloadable materials, and any related services (collectively, the "Services").

You may use the Services for personal, household, or internal small-business purposes. You agree not to:
Copy, republish, sell, license, or redistribute our content without written permission, except as allowed in Section 5.
Use automated scrapers, bots, or bulk-download tools against the Site without our prior written consent.

6. No Professional Advice
This is the most important section of these Terms. Please read it carefully.
Quiet Digital Life provides general educational information only. Nothing on the Site constitutes:
Legal advice
Tax advice or accounting advice
Medical, mental health, or health-related advice
Financial, investment, or credit-repair advice
Formal cybersecurity, forensic, or incident-response services
A guarantee of any particular outcome
Technology, pricing, product features, and legal requirements change frequently. Screenshots and step-by-step instructions may become outdated. You are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it, particularly for decisions involving money, legal obligations, health information, or the security of sensitive data.
If your situation involves a legal dispute, a tax question, a medical or mental-health concern, identity theft with financial consequences, or a security incident affecting a business or regulated data, consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
7. Affiliate Relationships and Sponsorships
Some links on the Site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. We also may accept sponsorships or run display advertising.
Our commitments:
We disclose affiliate relationships clearly, in the article or near the link.
We do not accept payment in exchange for a positive review.
We distinguish between our own testing and experience, official vendor guidance, and third-party reporting.
Sponsored content is labeled as sponsored.
You are never obligated to use our links. You can usually reach the same vendor directly.
8. Third-Party Products, Services, and Links
The Site references third-party products and services (for example, password managers, cloud storage providers, routers, and internet service providers). We do not control those products or services. Your use of any third-party product is governed by that vendor's own terms, privacy policy, and refund policies.
We are not responsible for:
The accuracy of third-party documentation or pricing.
Changes vendors make to their products, plans, or terms.
Any loss arising from your use of a third-party product we mention.
External links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement beyond what we state in the article itself.
9. User Submissions
If you submit comments, questions, case descriptions, screenshots, or other material ("Submissions"), you:
Grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, edit, and publish your Submission in connection with the Site.
Represent that you own or have permission to share the Submission and that it does not violate anyone's rights or any law.
Understand that we may remove or edit Submissions at our discretion.
Please do not submit passwords, account numbers, Social Security numbers, medical records, or other sensitive personal information. If you need help with a specific sensitive situation, contact a qualified professional rather than posting details publicly.
We may publish anonymized case examples based on reader questions. We will remove identifying details before publication.
10. Newsletters and Communications
If you subscribe, you consent to receive emails from us. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. We may still send transactional messages related to your account or a purchase you made.
11. Paid Products and Services (If Offered)
If we sell digital products, courses, or consulting, additional terms may apply at checkout. Unless stated otherwise:
Digital products are licensed for personal or internal business use, not for resale.
Refund requests are handled according to the policy shown at the point of sale.
Consulting engagements are governed by a separate written agreement.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
The Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Information will be current, complete, or applicable to your specific devices, vendors, or jurisdiction.
Following our guidance will prevent data loss, account compromise, identity theft, or any other harm.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, QUIET DIGITAL LIFE AND ERIC MICHAEL HOLT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
Some states do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Quiet Digital Life and Eric Michael Holt from any claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising from:
Your violation of these Terms.

We will respond in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the Site or by email if you have an account. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Guilford County, North Carolina, and you consent to venue there.
Informal resolution first. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at the address above and give us 30 days to try to resolve the issue informally.
Class action waiver. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity and not as part of a class or representative action.
19. Miscellaneous
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Survival. Sections 5, 6, 9, 12, 13, 14, 18, and 19 survive termination.
